As Eisenführ Speiser’s leading patent attorney in the field of Life Sciences, Manuel Söldenwagner supports and advises international corporations, universities and academic research establishments, small and medium-sized enterprises, with a special focus on ‘hidden champions’, and his clientèle particularly includes venture capital funds and start-ups. He supports clients not only in establishing and managing national and international IP portfolios, or in planning and conducting complex FTO analyses, but also advises and represents them in licensing negotiations, in opposition and nullity proceedings and in infringement proceedings, in Germany, Europe and beyond (e.g. in China), in addition to everyday patent prosecution activities.

Manuel Söldenwagner regularly lectures on patent law in Germany and abroad (e.g. in Japan). He holds workshops and seminars and is a co-author of the EPC textbook ‘The European Patent Application’, published by Eisenführ Speiser and Chizai Corporation. He is also a co-author of the third edition of the renowned ‘Beck’scher Kommentar’ on European patent law.

IAM Patent 1000 recommends ‘biotechnology virtuoso’ Manuel Söldenwagner ‘who debuts in the IAM Patent 1000 on the back of effusive recommendations’ (2017) as an individual in the field of ‘prosecution and nullity’, and refers to him as a ‘portfolio management pro’ ‘with an eye to the future of pharmaceuticals, and a passion for getting companies off the ground’ (2018).

Manuel Söldenwagner speaks German and English.
