The article “A Comparative Overview of Patenting AI Inventions” examines the differences in how patent protection for AI inventions is structured in the US, Europe and China, and demonstrates that the requirements regarding patentability, inventive step and disclosure vary significantly depending on the region. The article follows on from the 2025 webinar “Patenting AI-Implemented Inventions: A Global Comparison”, in which Dr Holger Veenhuis also participated.
