As the last of 17 Member States, Germany has deposited the instrument of ratification of the UPC Agreement with the Council of the European Union. Thus, all legal requirements for the entry into force of the Unitary Patent and the Unified Patent Court are fulfilled. The official start of the new system is 1 June 2023.
