Following the successful inaugural event in May last year, Bucerius Law School is hosting its 2nd UPC Conference, providing a platform for discussions on the current challenges facing the UPC, particularly with regard to issues of due process and legitimacy. Participants from the judiciary include Dr Klaus Grabinski (President of the Court of Appeal), Sabine Klepsch (UPC Hamburg Local Division), Kai Härmand (UPC Stockholm Regional Division) and Ronny Thomas (UPC Düsseldorf Local Division). 

Eisenführ Speiser attorney-at-law Philipp Rastemborski, LL.M.(Edinburgh) will be discussing the benefits and limitations of competition between international forums with Ronny Thomas, Kai Härmand and Prof. Dr. Tilman Müller-Stoy in the panel “Establishing Legitimacy in a Competitive Judicial Landscape.” The panel will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Axel Metzger LL.M. (Harvard), Humboldt University Berlin.
