EPO and EUIPO publish study on “IP rights and firm performance in the EU”

A new study by the European Patent Office and EUIPO shows that companies that own at least one patent, registered design or trade mark generate on average 20% higher revenues per employee than companies without such rights. In addition, companies that own intellectual property rights pay on average 19% higher wages.
