Studied mechanical engineering at the University of Hanover, specializing in kinetics & robotics as well as biomedical engineering, including a period of study at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain. Graduated with Dipl.-Ing. (Master’s degree) in 2006. Research activities at the Institute for Turbomachinery, Institute for Materials Science (both Hanover University), Laser-Zentrum Hannover e.V. and at the Hanover University Institute for Process Engineering. Gained practical experience with an international automotive company and with a German company leading in the field of image-guided surgery and stereotactic radio surgery.

Legal training from the year 2007 onwards at Eisenführ Speiser in Bremen, at a District Court for patent infringement proceedings, at the German Patent- and Trademark Office and at the Federal Patent Court.

Patent Attorney (Germany) since 2010.
