Secure email exchangeA simple email message is similar to a postcard. Anyone it passes on its way through the Internet can read it, or even tamper with it. Despite that, emails often contain confidential information, valuable knowledge or binding declarations of intent. To ensure data security and integrity, we recommend the use of email encryption and digital signatures. The applicable standards in this regard are PGP and S/MIME. Depending on your preferences, you can choose the specific method you want to use for secure communication with us: Our public PGP key can be found here. This key is valid for all those working at Eisenfuhr Speiser. If you wish to use the PGP method, please import this key into your encryption software and then contact our IT department. The best way to do that is to send an it [at] eisenfuhr [dot] com (subject: E-Mail encryption) (email). Our staff will then discuss all further details with you. The S/MIME certificates we use are specific to each attorney or member of staff. This method similarly requires that our IT department enter you into our system, so you are best contacting them by it [at] eisenfuhr [dot] com (subject: E-Mail encryption) (email) to arrange this. When doing so, please specify which attorneys and members of staff (in your firm and ours) are to be included in encrypted data exchange. |
