Volkmar Henke

Studied Physics and Philosophy in Hamburg and Paris (Université de Paris XI), specialising in elementary particles, high-energy physics and cosmic radiation. Obtained his Master’s degree in Physics in 1994.
Studied Jurisprudence, completed his practical training for the Second State Examination in Law and obtained his doctorate in law in Hamburg and Freiburg, specialising in civil procedure law, intellectual property and patent law. First State Examination in Law 2000; training periods spent, inter alia, at a patent infringement court and the European Patent Office. Research assistant at White & Case. Doctorate awarded in 2004, Second State Examination in Law 2005.
1995-2000: lecturer in Physics at the University of Hamburg.
Attorney at Eisenführ Speiser since 2005, Partner.
Author of “Die Erfindungsgemeinschaft” (Collective Inventions), Carl Heymanns Verlag 2005.
Volkmar Henke is specialised in IP infringement cases, licensing contract law and the law governing employees’ inventions.
