Mark Andres

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Hanover, specializing in power and process engineering, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, apparatus and plant engineering, including a period of study in Turku, Finland; graduated with a Master’s degree in Engineering in 1991; project engineer in Manchester, England.

From 1992 onwards, legal training at Eisenführ Speiser in Bremen, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich and at the Hamburg District Court. Employed in the IP department of a US company in Ohio. Patent Attorney (Germany) since 1995. European Patent Attorney since 1999 as well as European Trademark Attorney and European Design Attorney, Partner.

Mark Andres counsels and represents clients in the prosecution of German patents and utility models and European patents and design patents. His work also focuses on the litigation of patents and designs including nullity, opposition and cancellation proceedings and on IP strategy and licensing.

In the field of IP, he is particularly experienced in automated manufacturing systems, automotive, aircrafts, shipbuilding, power and process engineering, coating systems and fluid engineering, mechatronics, food processing technology.
