Studied Molecular Biotechnology at Technical University of Munich, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., 2005) and a Master’s degree (M.Sc., 2007). Specialised in Biochemical Engineering, Drug Design and Development, Microbiology, IP Management.

Study abroad at University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia (2006).

Research work in Cambridge, UK, at Antitope Ltd. (field: antibody engineering), in Hamburg, Germany, at Qiagen Hamburg GmbH (field: comparative evaluation of DNA extraction processes) and in Munich, Germany, at Helmholtz Zentrum München (field: genome sequencing).

Patent attorney training at Eisenführ Speiser (2007-2009) including a period of training at the Mannheim District Court (2009); “Law for Patent Attorneys” course at the Distance University of Hagen (2007-2009); further training at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the German Patent Court (2009-2010). Patent Attorney since 2010.

As a patent attorney, Manuel Söldenwagner mainly caters to clients in the fields of chemistry, process engineering, coating technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, food chemistry, scents and aromatics, pharmacy and general mechanics. He has special professional experience in drafting and managing German, European and international patent applications and in opposition proceedings.
