Studied Physics at University of Hamburg focussing on High Energy Physics, in particular Elementary Particle Physics and Accelerator Physics, supplementary studies in Business Economics focusing on corporate governance; Scholarship from Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes; Diploma in 2008.

Research at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY in Hamburg (2008, 2011) and the European Organisation of Nuclear Physics CERN near Geneva (Switzerland) from 2009-2010 in the area of Experimental Particle Physics, in particular with calibration algorithms for semiconductor detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC); Ph.D. degree (Dr. rer. nat.) at Hamburg University in 2011.

Legal training between 2011 and 2014 at Eisenführ Speiser, at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen, at a chamber for patent infringement matters at the District Court of Mannheim, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the Federal Patent Court; Patent Attorney (Germany) since 2015.

In the course of her training at Eisenführ Speiser, Dr. Jula Draeger also gathered experience in company specific organizational aspects of patent related activities during a 3 month internship at a medium-sized industrial enterprise.

In her role as patent attorney, Dr. Jula Draeger primarily serves clients in the areas of information technology and electrical engineering, in particular software implemented inventions, audio and video coding, digital memory and semiconductor technology and LED technology.

Dr. Jula Draeger has furthermore gained significant experience in evaluating standard essential patents (SEPs) and is a member of our teams for complex patent litigation.
