Studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Bremen, specialising in automation engineering; research assistant at the Institute for Glass and Ceramics Technology at the Technical University of Ilmenau; obtained his doctorate at the Institute for Electrical Drive Systems, Power Electronics and Components at the University of Bremen, with special reference to control systems for a nonlinear, elastically coupled two-mass system.
Legal training at Eisenführ Speiser since 2002, with parallel studies at the Distance-Learning University of Hagen. Final training and State Examination at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Patent Court in Munich. Patent Attorney since 2005 and a European Patent Attorney at Eisenführ Speiser (Bremen) since 2007; Partner.
In his role as patent attorney, Ingo Schöling primarily serves clients in the electrical engineering field, including electrical drive systems, power converter engineering and signal processing, as well as measurement control and regulation engineering, plant engineering and mechanics. He has special experience in drafting German, European and international patent applications and in opposition proceedings at German and European level. He has in-depth knowledge of New Zealand and Australian patent application and opposition proceedings. Within the firm, he manages the TAX department responsible for paying annual, renewal and maintenance fees.
