Studied at the University of Osnabrück, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Physics in 1997, Doctor of Science 2000; research work at the Instituto Nacional de Astrofisica, Optica y Electronica (INAOE), Puebla, Mexico 1998 and in the Laboratoire Charles Fabry de l’Institute d’Optique, CNRS, Paris, France 1999; his main fields of specialisation are medical technology, optics, solid-state physics, software.
Research work at Philips Research in Hamburg, Aachen and Eindhoven from 2000-2002.
Legal training and employment as patent attorney at the law and patent attorney firm of Boehmert & Boehmert from 2002 to 2005, part of that time spent at the District Court Düsseldorf, the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Patent Court and Distance-Learning University of Hagen.
At Eisenführ Speiser (Bremen) since 2005, Partner.
In his capacity as patent attorney, Dr. Veenhuis mainly serves clients in the fields of physics and information technology, and especially in medical technology, digital image processing, aeronautical engineering, optics, biosensors, photo development and automotive engineering. He has special professional experience in writing, prosecuting and enforcing German, European and international patent applications and patents and in the development of intellectual property strategies.
