Günther Eisenführ
Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, European Trade Mark and Design Attorney
Obtained his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1957, specialising in fluid engineering, aerodynamics and automotive engineering. This was followed by three years’ research and development work in the tyre industry.
Legal training at the patent attorney firm of Dr. Karl Boehmert, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the German Patent Court; Patent Attorney since 1963, founder of what is now the patent attorney firm of Eisenführ Speiser in 1966. European Patent Attorney since 1978, European Trademark and Design Attorney.
Günther Eisenführ works as a lawyer in special cases only, namely in trademark and patent litigation and in related fields of competition law. He is also available to younger colleagues as an advisor on legal matters and professional issues.
For many years he was a member of the Governing Board of the Patent Attorneys Association and of the German Group within the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), and he is still a Board member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and of its Northern Regional Group. He was also an honorary judge in patent attorney matters at Munich District Court I and the Munich Upper District Court.

Günther Eisenführ was a lecturer at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the University of Bremen, and is currently a lecturer at the DeutscheAnwaltAkademie in Berlin.
He is a co-author of the Heymann paperback commentary on the Community Trademark Regulation “Gemeinschaftsmarkenverordnung” (2nd edition, 2007) and has written numerous journal articles and commemorative papers, mainly on aspects of German and European trademark law and on Federal Court of Justice rulings on patent matters.
Memberships: Patent Attorneys Association (PAK), Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office(epi), International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI), Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys.
